Free work during our Open Studio - for those who master the techniques and want to create independently with clay, at their own pace and in a relaxed atmosphere.
Open Studio
Our Open Studio is the place for anyone who already has experience with ceramics and wants to work independently in a nice, inspiring environment. Have you ever taken a course or are you familiar with working with clay, throwing, or hand-building? Then the Open Studio is a great way to continue creating at your own pace.
How it works
You simply book a time slot and work independently on your own projects. Whether you want to throw, build up, finish, or glaze, the studio is equipped with everything you need: pottery wheels, work tables, tools, and basic supplies are included. During your time, there is always someone present for quick questions or assistance, but it is not a lesson.
Glazing & Firing
Clay, glaze, and the firing of your work are billed separately. The price of the clay is per kilogram, and the glazes are sold in the studio. We work with a nice selection of Mayco glazes, which are available from us and can also be purchased independently if desired. The firing costs are calculated based on the space your work takes up. is placed in the oven. We would be happy to show you how this price is determined in the studio. This applies to both biscuit firing and glaze firing.
Facilities
Professional workspace
Our studio is fully equipped for both wheel throwing and hand building. You can make use of pottery wheels, spacious work tables, tools, and an inspiring, bright environment to work in. Everything is available to bring your ideas to life.
Firing options
Your pieces can be fired in our ovens for a fee. We ensure careful handling of the firing process so that your creations are finished safely and beautifully.
Materials available in the studio
We work with high-quality clay and glazes, which you can purchase directly from us. For the use of the oven, it is important that you only work with our materials so that we can manage the firing process optimally. Exceptions can be made in consultation.
Storage space for your work
During your Open Studio hours, you can temporarily store your work in the studio. Do you work with us more often? Then we can also provide space for your own clay, which we will coordinate together.
Cleaning & Tidying
You are responsible for leaving your workspace tidy. All tools and materials you have used must be cleaned and returned to the proper place. This cleaning and tidying falls within your booked time, so please take this into account when planning your work. This way, we can ensure that the studio remains pleasant and workable for everyone.
